I really can’t believe it is September already. :O
Only yesterday, I was boarding the plane to start my Echelon contract and now it’s all over. I spent the last 5 weeks performing the Book Week musical Space Jump to over 8000 kids in schools across Brisbane and Toowoomba. It was exhausting but well worth it! A huge thanks to my touring partner Andrew Hearle for being so awesome. Check out this pic of us with the Director Graham and Team A, Maureen and Ben.
I took part in a Workshop by Evolve (Ben Parkinson Casting) with Damien Walshe-Howling while I was there. This guy is just so cool. He’s done heaps of work in Australia and was so down to earth (FYI he played Andrew 'Benji' Veniaman in the first Underbelly series). Unfortunately, it was a class size of about 20, so we didn’t get much one on-one-time but I look forward to meeting him again.
I also got some footage back from some projects I've done in the past. I now have clips from Spring Awakening (2011) and Mute (2012). Check out this screenshot.
So now I’m back in Sydney and straight into it…
First up is The Army Within which starts shooting on the 13th September. It is about an Alien species that takes over the earth. I play Sal, a young woman, that has been infected by one of the Aliens and now has one of them growing inside her. Check out another poster for the series (its the Alien fetus).
And then Die Krankenhausan which shoots 16-18th September. I play Nurse Reeves, one of the nurses working at the convalescent hospital and tending to Major Evans. The rest of September will be spent on relocating to a different place and focusing on the Improv Music Show I will be putting on.
